Thanks to the Louisiana GOHSEP (Governor’s Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Preparedness) ‘Get A Game Plan‘ podcast, interested listeners have been offered the opportunity to hear first hand about the state’s extraordinary response to the coordinated ransomware attacks that targeted multiple Louisiana school districts as they were preparing to start the current school year.

This was the first time – but unfortunately not likely to be the last – that a state emergency was declared due to this type of incident. This podcast offers a recap of what happened and lessons learned from one of the experts who helped the state successfully manage this threat.

For anyone considering what role state, regional, or even federal agencies might play in supporting school district cybersecurity risk management, Louisana’s experience offers important insights.

Thanks in all sincerity to GOHSEP for being generous enough to offer these insights and advice.
